In support of the Government's committment to increase the country's forest cover beyond 10%, staff of BPS led by the Director, Prof. Eunice Mutitu, on May 3, 2013, joined scouts and members of the Kenya Defence Forces in planting over 2,000 tree seedlings at the University's Ngong Forest Field Station.

Chiromo Christian Union  members visited the Kabete Children’s Remand Centre  on 10th October, 2016. The members took time to provide mentorship talks to these children. They were divided into groups of four and children were allocated to each group for mentorship. There were four major groups that had been formed by the management according to age groups i.e. 13-17yrs boys and girls and 7-13yrs boys and girls. Mary immaculate rehab Centre - South B

A rehabilitation for Street Boys, its located right opposite MATER HOSPITAL.

It was one of our major activities. It was a complete success. Members contributed Kshs10, 080 and gave donations. Over 60 members turned   up for the event. We had a chance to interact with the rehabilitating street boys who have taken the initiative to change and make a difference with their lives.

The University of Nairobi ICT staff planted 120 indigenous trees within the University’s Chiromo Mortuary and swampy area next to the sports ground.

Not only is the initiative an important University activity as it is part of the University performance contract requirement but also the centre’s contribution to greening the environment. The Centre is required to plant 60 trees but saw it fit to double the number.
