Plenary session - reflections on the science and institutional support structures needed to enahance water security in fragile regions

Yesterday REACH global research programme hosted by UNICEF and the University of Nairobi, in partnership with Oxford University held two international events to discuss water security and drought.

Discussions held during the afternoon session focused on ‘Improving water security for the poor in drought-prone regions’. The Keynote presentations from Prof. Richard Washington, Oxford University and Dr. Gilbert Ouma, a lecturer in the Department of Meteorology tackled the issue of ‘Climate science for improving water security for the poor’.

Officers in Administration held a Consultative meeting in preparation for the Midterm review of the Performance Contract of the Department.

 

The meeting chaired by the Registrar Administration focused on reviewing the Performance Contract visavis the set targets in order to asses progress made so far.
